About Amanda

Amanda is a Master of Social Work graduate student at Minnesota State University Moorhead and earned her Bachelors of Social Work degree in 2019. Born and raised in Fergus Falls, she is deeply committed to giving back to her home community through compassionate and accessible mental health care. Amanda provides therapy for adolescents and adults ages 12 and up, believing that every individual deserves quality mental health support across the lifespan.

She embraces a strengths-based and trauma-informed perspective, honoring each client’s unique story and resilience. Following graduation, Amanda plans to pursue a career in outpatient individual therapy, supporting clients of all ages in reaching their goals and improving overall well-being. She chose River Walk Counseling for her practicum because of its strong reputation for serving the Fergus Falls community.

This experience provides her with diverse training opportunities that will prepare her for clinical practice and equip her to meet the needs of clients with care and professionalism.
